I’m sorry, I’m sure this question has been asked and answered, but I’m new, I did not see a thread for it.

If I’m using Food Grade White Plastic Buckets, why do I need Mylar Bags?
Restaurants and bakeries buy food in buckets, and its not in a bag.
Can I simply put my dry foods (beans, rice, flour, & grains) in the buckets, add O2 absorbers and seal the buckets?
    What is the down side?

I don’t want to save $2 on mylar bags and goof up my food storage, but I’m trying to understand the logic.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
