Hi all, new to this site and to prepping in general. The more I thought about it the more I realize that I am the one who is ultimately responsible for the welfare of my wife and two young children. I could never forgive myself if something catastrophic happened and I hadn’t done all I could to ensure their well being.

Due to financial constraints I am going to need to start slow and build up the things I’ll need. My current plan is to start with building basic reserves of food and water that could last a few weeks of need be and in the meantime research more long term strategies. I also need to get back in shape!

Does anyone have experience in introducing these changes to a skeptical and resistant spouse?

Thanks and glad to be here!

    Joe
