First off let me tell you my grand mother use to make pear perserves that were a brown color I don’t know if she put brown sugar
or cinnamon in them. hers came out the color of fig perserves. All of the recipe that I have found the pears come out a light color
and the taste is not what I remember. of course that was about 50 years ago. My job was to climb the tree and shake the pears down. I did not get in on the cooking. So if any one has a recipe for pear perserves that matches this discription please respond.
we have an abundence of pears right now.
