PROPER way to store Calcium Hypochlorite?

    I am at a loss as how to store Calcium Hypochlorite for the long term.

    This article from the EPA says it should be stored in “breathable containers”. What is a breathable container? Whenever I see it, it’s in a relatively thin plastic bag. That bag may breathe, but it will also deteriorate over time. So what’s the solution?

    It can’t be sealed in anything with metal (even just the lid). Apparently, it shouldn’t be in a sealed 5-gallon bucket, or a Mason jar, either. How about a Mason jar with a plastic lid, not totally tightened?

    I feel that I’m missing something here that is probably supremely simple. Grrrr! :cursing:
