I recently added 2 #10 cans of hard red winter wheat to my stores. I know that most folks grind it up and use it for baking, but I don’t have a grain mill and next to no experience baking. My question is if any of you experienced cooks have used whole wheat berrys for other than baking? I have read that it can be cooked into a breakfast cereal or added to soups/stews, but not much else. If I knew more alternative uses I would stock more due to its nutritional value. Any advice would be appreciated.
