Ramps, aka Wild Leeks

    Up here in the north country, my favorite food to harvest from my own land are ramps, which some people call wild leeks. They taste like a cross between a mild onion and a garlic. The leaves are great on salads, but I love to use the bulbs in omelets, or anywhere that I might use onions or garlic. It can substitute for both. A friend of mine pickles them and those are fantastic.

    Here is a video to help you identify them and harvest them sustainably. There’s a good chance you might have some on your property or in nearby forest but just haven’t identified them yet. I literally have tens of thousands of plants on my land.
