PATAGONIA – A wildfire burning near Patagonia in southeastern Arizona has now grown to 230 acres.

Fire crews have made an initial air attack on the Walker Fire, burning about 8 miles north of the town of Patagonia in Walker Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains. Fire crews are still attempting to reach the fire by ground, but the terrain is very rugged.

The flames are burning ponderosa, oak and grass. No structures are threatened and the fire is at zero percent containment.

The fire is human-caused and under investigation.
