So I am in town, and I figured I would catch up on some housekeeping issues since I’m here. I was going through our storage area and I found some expired jugs of vinegar. I am not the biggest believer in expiration dates, but these are like 10 years past the dates on them. I know vinegar does not technically go bad because of the acidity in it, but it will get cloudy and taste “off”. Has anyone tried pickling with old vinegar? The stuff always tastes off to me, but it does not appear to be cloudy. I was going to sweet pickle & can some of my carrots, but I am wondering if I should toss this stuff out & just go buy some new stuff.
