Ladies, 20% of us will have a urinary tract infection this year. But lucky for you, I’ll have 2 or 3, substantially lowering your odds  If you’ve never had one, let me just say I’m only functional while seated on a toilet. So, after every Walgreens is looted, then what? Wheelchair tricked out with a bedpan? or perhaps just one extra bullet? …. No, I ordered a bottle of Fish Mox (amoxicillin for humans, but sold as a fish antibiotic, available without a rx). For $25 I’ll get 100 500mg capsules. I shopped around and here’s the cheapest I found:

This one bottle will cure 16 UTI’s if used conservatively. By that I mean taking six all at once (3,000 mg) rather than the 2 a day for 10 days my MD usually prescribes. Here’s a medical journal treatment review that endorses the single-dose approach:

And if I get my other preps in order, I’ll get some bactrim (“bird sulfa”, also no rx required) as well because that’s one that’s worked for my UTI’s too and who knows if the other will work indefinitely. Everything above about amoxicillin also applies to the bactrim. Here’s a bottle for $30:

PLUS, there’s nothing — I mean NOTH THING — I wouldn’t barter for a dose of this when I’m in need, AND these both cure sinus infections, ear infections, bronchitis, pneumonia and probably a bunch of other stuff too.

So that’s my most recent find, offered in thanks for all the wisdom y’all rain on me regularly!
