Hey Cin – have you considered one of those lightweight strollers for the dog? When she decides she doesn’t want to walk anymore, you can push her in the stroller the rest of the way. If she’s a bigger dog, they do make those strollers with larger wheels as well. But, if you are on a hard and even walking trail, a stroller may solve your issue.…[Read more]

This is my fisrt post on the new format….which I really don’t like. I’m sorry, I’m sure you’ve all done a lot of work, but this new format is terribly confusing! On the other forum I could log on and just find a “new posts” icon and all the posts from the forum would come up in order of most recent posts. Is this option available here?

do you have a FoodSaver? If you do, you can get a ‘regular mouth’ and a ‘wide mouth’ vacuum attachment for it. You can use this attachment to suck most of the air out of the jar and seal it. He was basically talking about being prepared for an ISIS attack of some sort.…[Read more]

My son had a flat tire this weekend and I had an extra tube for the bike but it was the wrong size. I also had a repair kit, but the glue was dried out. It got me thinking…… We have 6 bikes and I thought I had the supplies needed to fix them if needed. Turns out I don’t. The next time I go to town, I’m going to buy several tubes and fix…[Read more]

I’m planning on getting a root cellar built, (a fairly large one) that would also be my ‘go to’ BOL for short term emergencies. It would also be used to store my preps, so I can finally move them out of my spare bedroom. If that emergency were to be days instead of hours, what would be the best way to keep warm? I have hand warmers, blankets,…[Read more]
