  • So I guess that if I want them dried whole so I can string them, I’ll just have to run the dehydrator a long time?

  • I have had some 2 to 3 inch long peppers in a Nesco dehydrator for about 24hrs now and they’re only just starting to show signs of drying. Do I need to do something to them first? My wife wants them dehydrated whole so she can string them. Do I need to pierce them or something or does it just take 2 or 3 days to deyhdrate them?

If you want to stop a vehicle, the best way is to take out the driver. You can put rounds with good penetration through the firewall or doors easier than trying to crack an engine block. Besides, just cracking the block won’t stop the car, it’ll just cause it to overheat and sieze. If you penetrate the block and get to the internal moving parts,…[Read more]

I have always considered the 22 rimfire a mandatory item as a survival weapon. However, I agree with Jericho Montana that you need enough gun to accomplish the mission at hand. I have rifles at home from 22 rimfire to 50BMG and everywhere in between. Several shotguns and I lost count of my handguns. I always keep a stainless S&W 645 and an AR 15…[Read more]

I have also seen revolvers jam. Residue between the cylinder and barrel, high primers, and short stroking the trigger are the most common. Just like anything else, keep it clean, use good ammo, pay attention to the basic fundamentals of shooting, and you’ll have fewer problems. It doesn’t matter if it’s a wheel gun or auto.

I agree with Dirk. I’m also a police sniper as well as a general/ tactical/ sniper firearms instructor. The only problem encountered with the Remington that I’m aware of is sometimes people would try to disengage the safety while having their finger on the trigger. On my 700 the safety would not come off when there was pressure on the trigger. I…[Read more]

I recently have had several preppers ask me to start training them in firearms use. I am telling them to purchase a B-B gun ad I will teach the basics on it and they can practice at home with it. It will also come in handy to run pests off later as well as discouraging the family dog from chasing the chickens.

I agree that every survival battery should include a 22 rimfire because of it’s versitality. But you also need something more substantial for survival. In a shtf survival situation, there will be alot of feral animals around. Now I know a 22 will kill a dog or wolf with a well placed shot, but as a law enforcement officer, I’ve had to shoot…[Read more]
