Welcome to all the new TN folks!
I am currently in W TN but In the next few months will be moving to the Chattanooga area and would like to meet up with like minded folks to kinda get the lay of the land so to speak. Anyone willing to take a transplanted prepper? -

TIP / HINT for canned foods bought from the store; to make these last for several years – you will need to buy some parafin wax. Melt the wax and dip the cans / coating them one side at a time – allowing each side to cool befor dipping the otherside. This will extend the shelf like A LONG TIME.

Kymber – My father in law had a fire in one of his rental houses. I am going to tear it down for the lumber and whatever I can utilize. Once I have this done I am planning to build a shop with a passive solar heat/ waterheater as well as a full green house at the side. I plan to start demolition as soon as the cold breaks a bit which may be next week.

I know that a lot of soaps/detergents work differently in them than they do in a top-loader that uses way more water. Figured I’d better check on this before I made a bunch of my own. (of course, if TSHTF and we don’t…

Phelan, sorry to butt in to the conversation but when you mentioned a 49 panhead and a 83 shovel I couldn’t help myself.
I myself dig the fact that most people would consider me a walking contradiction. I am in a technical field by trade but my heart lies with my family, Harleys, dirt and chickens.
