Re: EBOLA-Latest News & Updates-(Too Little ... Too Late)

http://www.telegram.com/article/2014091 ... 69716/1116

How does everyone feel about sending 3.000 of our military to the affected regions? It clearly states in the article the concern about this virus becoming airborne.

Re: The Price is Right! What barter price for your produce?

Lyn, good neighor are a plus and should be taken care of. Beyond the neighbors are another whole world. In early american times Neighbors took care of each other. Still, there was surplus to be traded for needles and tools. That was what you bartered for. Only the very rich could afford not to be f...

Re: DNA testing required for health insurance now.

This came up as a legislative issue in the Nineties and was unanimously voted down by the Senate against insurance companies. I see no reason why this would happen here.

Re: Walking

We have a basset and a lab border collie mix and the 3 you get children. We just walk in our neighborhood. Pretty boring except for the neighbors "attack dogs" the guard their corner fence. My 6yo has been insisting on an evening walk in addition to our morning walk. We only go about 25 t...

Re: The Price is Right! What barter price for your produce?

Taffy, great thread and thought provoking. Our garden did the best it's ever this year and I ended up giving away about 100 lbs. of vegetables(still waiting for winter squash to mature), but we traded some wild grape jelly for some of their potatoes and peppers(until mine came in.) My other neighbor...

Re: Just get it over with!!!

Why would I want everything in life right now to be turned upside down? I have my days when I feel like you and would like to see bad people get kissed by karma.....but I'm not so bitter with it that I want it to happen while also making myself uncomfortable. Let's face it, depending upon the exten...

Re: Gardening

What kind of garden do you prefer? I have both a raised garden and 2 large greenhouses. Lately I have been wondering if my garden will be a magnet to unpreppers. I have heard about hiding my garden in a forest like setting, but would like your input on the pros and cons of this method. Of course I ...

Re: Do you think it's every going to happen? Death of dollar

I'm sure that eventually the demise of the dollar will happen; we have moved to a "cashless" society and digitized dollars, if you will. All the more reason to use the buying power it still affords us. Wisely.

Re: Things that make you go "hhhhhhmmmmmm ?"

I did but these symbols aren't involving more than a select few sites. I don't believe it has anything to do with 9/11 and Obama's address tonight probably has more to do with the fact that it's the day after Primary Day. I don't see the connection other than he's being pressured for a strategy.

Re: Skills that make you "Important" in a collapsed society

thanks for the feedback =) although as previously mentioned I'm not interested in joining any group. I'm also not interested in being a house wife. and most of all I am not interested in bugging in or remaining stationary. I have nothing too much to say as far as the general view of young females t...

" Also I understand men are simple that's exactly why I don't trust them.. it is not to say that i will immediately trust women either but just more inclined to trust them. In general I wont hesitate to shoot someone or defend myself.. what I am looking for is other women's views on the issue.&...

Re: Tips for new preppers ( from season preppers)

Good thread. It's been said before but going to the numerous dollar stores can save some serious cash. We did this to shore up our medical supplies(wasn't nearly enough) and relocated everything to a large dedicated plastic tub. Boxes of "seconds" fruits, like peaches and apples, can be fo...
