Re: gun confiscation

Jack, suffice it to say that there was never any question about obtaining my LTC, although it was a decision I thought about for awhile(while waiting on a vacancy for a gun course that's required in this state), and a decision I took very seriously. It's nice to see that applications and renewals ha...

Re: gun confiscation

Going back to the original post. In addition to local law enforcement not enforcing a gun confiscation, there simply aren't enough resources to carry out such an agenda, even if ordered. It would still be a bloody mess at best. Too many unknown variables to imagine a scenario. One things for sure. ...

Re: gun confiscation

"Lynda, it has actually been this way for at least three years. We all knew where the sheriffs stood. In the past 6 months, they have become very vocal in their opposition to the Obama administration. In the rural counties of Virginia, a sheriff is the only entity of law enforcement. As an elec...

Re: gun confiscation

Wife and I went to our gun club meeting last night. The speaker was the sheriff of my adjoining county. He emphatically announced that no federal agent will be allowed in his county for the purpose of gun confiscation. He warned that it could get "messy". He is now the third sheriff of th...

Re: Buying More Guns/Ammo as a Result of San Bernardino?

Nope - same old, same old for me. If I find a good deal, I buy. If not, I don't. The only thing this changes....is that there probably won't be as many good buys out there anymore. Oh well........ There's other things on my wish list so I'll just go where the deals are. Just like investing in the s...

Re: Prepare For The Worst and Hope It Doesnt Happen

"Theres actually nothing to lose if you give it away VOLUNTARILY. Simpler point. Good luck." Thank you but I'm not giving anything away. I could choose to do that if I purchased firearms without a license. Not the way I roll. Not quite sure why you keep going after the many here who own gu...

Re: Prepare For The Worst and Hope It Doesnt Happen

I hope this isnt too offensive or inflammatory for anyone. But its the truth and if it wasnt for this boards delicate mannerisms I would have forgotten about it forever. One morning I went to visit my WW 2 buddy. I found him sitting on the porch with a smile on his face. He tossed his deceased brot...

Re: Prepare For The Worst and Hope It Doesnt Happen

If you know the government does it then why would anyone post something so inflammatory? Railing against current laws is one thing, we all do it. But, encouraging others to break the laws under which we live, particularly when it comes to firearm purchases, is quite another. Things haven't gotten s...

Re: Prepare For The Worst and Hope It Doesnt Happen

After reading the responses on this thread I would like to say the government, or anybody else has no business monitoring what people say on internet forums and where its said from. Sometimes, people say stuff that might get them in trouble if their identity is known but anything said on the intern...

Re: Christian Terrorist?

You should all watch Pillars of the Earth (mini-series) based on the (dull) book written by Ken Follett. The series was surprisingly good, IMO. By the end, I wanted to build a cathedral in the worst way -- but what's related to this discussion is the portrayal of church (of England) corruption and ...

[quote="RubyAbigail"]Rose colored glasses are a nice accessory, but they can be a burden when people are trying to reason with you.

Who might be wearing those?

Re: Christian Terrorist?

PS, I would say the poverty problem is a burden the government created and not the church. Must have been some churches you attended because I've never seen anything like that. Ever.

Re: Christian Terrorist?

"The Bible does not tell Christians to go out and kill or enslave everyone who does not agree with them." But Christians have been doing it right from the beginning, anyway, haven't they? They've been killing, butchering, torturing and enslaving in the name of God/Jesus since that particu...
