Re: Who is Raggi5?

Maybe he just decided to leave or is busy with other pursuits. Is there some mandate that a mod has to stay just because he or she is a mod?

Re: Who likes wolf brand chili

I actually like Wolf Brand, with beans. It doesn't have onions in it. I can't stand onions. It's a good storage food and when I'm too tired to cook I open up a can, just like anything else.

Re: Markets down -500 plus. WSJ

Not really worried. For years the stock market hovered around 10,000-11,000 and pretty much stagnated. Don't know why this is such a surprise.

Re: Markets down -500 plus. WSJ

Retirees receiving a pension from the state(or town), like retired LE don't have the option of getting out of the market since part of that pension is invested for them every month. Easier said than done. The market has gone down before and gone back up again and people working for companies that ma...

Re: Avoid Stray Cat Syndrome

This is a big moral quandary for us, too. We could quote the bible back and forth all day, because there's the parable of the sheep and the goats, too. ~ When did we see you hungry or thirsty, or naked, or sick, or in prison? Amen, Amen, I say to you, whatsoever you have done for the least of these...

Re: 5 Personal Strengths... 5 Weaknesses

Strengths: Experience: having grown up without the majority of technical innovations, like computers, cell phones, cable, dishwashers, microwaves, etc. Environment: grew up in a small town and after years of travel and living in many places returned to one. Realism: life is tough, always has been an...

Re: House calls still offered in your area?

When I was a very young girl our family MD used to come to the house, even for the usual seasonal maladies. Haven't seen it since then but the population has grown since then so having a centrally located MD makes more sense. Besides, I have MyChart which hooks me up directly with the medical staff ...

Re: Buying supplies-a thought exercise

So I know its a bit absurd to have 80 grand and no means of transportation but I just wanted to see what people would buy for 80 grand for an upcoming crisis if they could spend it at a Cabela's, a Bass Pro Shop, a Gander Mountain, a Camping World, a Walmart, and a place that sells used cars and mo...

Re: Why you should vote in 2016

Pedro wyoming "...political drivel..." How condescending of you. If you don't want to read this thread, please refrain from clicking on it. That is your choice. Who made you the APN post police? North Idaho Partriot, the owner of the APN forum, made me a PoPo here. As a forum moderator it...

Re: Scavenging supplies - a thought exercise

I've been following this thread and reading the responses. The scenario was based upon a book Jim read. Nothing more and I certainly didn't see him encourage his kids to steal anything. He simply asked them what their priorities would be in terms of supplies. They have no money and no permission, a...

Re: Scavenging supplies - a thought exercise

"Note: I fully realize the subject of scavenging is rife with heated opinions. For the sake of this discussion, if you feel taking supplies from a store in a situation as outlined above is against your morals/ethics/religion/whatever, please just refrain from posting a reply rather than outlini...
