Re: 3 Common Prepper Complaints (that are really just excuse

Molly, exactly. Food prices and utility bills never seem to go down, do they? What may be easy for some is quite a challenge for others. My husband is the veteran's agent for my town and has a tiny office at the senior center. I've heard many stories about the elderly having an extremely tough time ...

Re: Spying on you from your own camera

Arkie, . Good on you. I'm in the same boat. I can't hold a tune. But love classical music, jazz, and classic rock.mostly classical.,I find it very calming. Dirk Amazing what a few glasses of wine does for one. I haven't talked this much on APN in many many months. Dirk Same here. I lead a very bori...

Re: 12 hour notice sun flare. what would you do?

This is what I love about this group. It's hard to get reliable information since there are so many sources online. I will research making my own Faraday cages. Anyone with a reliable site? Don't discount the group so quickly. There are tons of varying opinions here. Only speaking for myself but I'...

Re: 3 Common Prepper Complaints (that are really just excuse

#1. I don't necessarily want to seek out other preppers. Just because they claim to prep doesn't mean they actually do or are well-intentioned. #2. Not everyone is financially stable enough to be able to afford the bare necessities let alone extra for preps. We're doing okay but many are not. #3. My...

Re: 12 hour notice sun flare. what would you do?

I was told the microwave is a faraway cage much like the one surrounding our MRI machine at work. Is that not true? There is a ton of information stating a microwave is a small cage. Is this a forum for education or just slamming people. I thought this would be an interesting topic. It is interesti...

Re: Gun control advocates are in full swing after shooting

in't it great Lynda? It's the same here. Membership in my gun club has risen into the hundreds. The club is very "woman shooter" friendly. Female instructors for women. My wife has become an avid shooter, something I thought was highly unlikely. Close to half of the members are women. Our ...

Re: Gun control advocates are in full swing after shooting

Gun control advocates are in full swing after the latest shooting that killed two, but they don't want you to see this sad story in which five people were killed with a knife. The fact is, there are people out there that will kill. They use guns, knifes, cars, rock, bombs, and so on and so on. Givi...

Re: 4 Marines killed in "act of domestic terrorism "

I could see us letting the military in Texas have guns. They would swear the feds are going to take them over. We have so many nuts anymore that no one can do anything right. Something does need done about these people getting shot. I'm not sure why we ever let these people in, but Europe did the s...

Re: 4 Marines killed in "act of domestic terrorism "

I for one am a bit suspicious that it seems these shooters all seem to meet the same fate. You'd think great care would be taken to apprehend them alive, not to stand trial, but to gain valuable information. There will be many more to come. It will start with military targets but as the fever takes...

Re: For The Experts

My .02 I have shot .25s that worked well and could hit what you aimed at but I have also shot some that would not hit what you aimed at nor feed correctly . Hope yours works well and hits the target . I do agree with OAR it is weak but will do the job at close range like barrel to flesh .... Which,...

Re: Self-defense without a gun?

When conditions deteriorate, what's your plan for defending yourself if you need to do so? Hubby has the gun, and hubby isn't around, and there's a guy coming at you, from the front, from behind, from the side. We'll say that he doesn't have a gun either, so that sort of levels the playing field. W...
