Re: When do you think the sheeple will notice

Ok, ok, you win! :floppytongue: :surrender:

BTW, finally got the rain catchment done in the orchard w/ that 275 gallon barrel! People are whining about water taxes up here. Well at least I am.

I don't blame you. It IS VT. Nearly as bad as MA.

Re: When do you think the sheeple will notice

I didn't say there isn't, just not much. If food prices got anywhere near the press that global warming does there would be a lot more notice and outcry by the general public. I just don't think most would do anything more than what they are doing now though. I bet there'd be a few politicians spea...

Re: When do you think the sheeple will notice

If the msm mentioned it more some would take more notice, but still most won't do anything about it but whine and keep doing what they are doing. That's just what sheep do! Outback, there is something every single day on MSN about rising food prices, the economy, the effects of the drought, etc. It...

Re: Is It Just Me . . . Making Mental Notes

I completely agree on the principle of not stealing, but how do you feel about a community deciding to redistribute the supplies in a local warehouse that is owned by some far off corporation in a SHTF scenario? All this is assuming that you aren't going to be part of that population reduction. I d...

Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment

I may check out those caffeine pills, too. But like everything else a gradual reduction in usage, maybe. I do love my coffee.

Re: Suppose they all sit and wait?

Oh, I don't know; even though we're fairly well prepared, to immediately jump into action rather than sit and wait and assess the situation would be counter productive. The more information available will help determine exactly what course of action suitable to that particular scenario the better. ...

Re: Do you keep your preps in one location?

We don't have a lot of storage ie closets or that sort of thing in our old house. We do have a back room/entry room that has big locker type storage things. I keep mostly dry good in there and snacks for the children. Also a spare fridge and upright freezer. The basement has food on shelves going d...

Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment

People will panic because their life of convenience is interrupted. From not being able to prepare their own coffee(a mile long wait for a cup of Joe at Dunkin' Donuts) That brings up a good point -- caffeine addiction. If you've ever suffered through caffeine withdrawal, you know it is no picnic. ...

Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment

What do you think will happen to average people today if they are cut off from food sources, clean water, or electricity? Especially when it isn’t just a role they are playing in a psych research study but instead it is real life? Well, in Massachusetts, they encourage litigation against the power c...

Re: Is this the calm before the storm?

It's been the calm before the storm since I've been on this forum; going on 4 years now, and surely years before that. Who knows?
