Re: Got My Goat(s)!

We DID have an incident here last weekend...A couple of Mexican men in suits paid a late-night (about 2-3 AM) visit to a guy about 1/2 a mile away, pulled him out of his house, beat the crud out of him, then while they had him on his knees in the yard, torched his house. We all figured that he got ...

Re: IDEAS AND WAYS TO INCREASE STORAGE SPACE

The space between 2x4's in an unfinished room makes for a handy place to store items. We had an unfinished room that had shelving in front of that type of "wall". Now those narrow spaces are 'insulated' . . . With TP rolls in one area and soda bottles filled with grains or beans stacked at...

Re: Sanitation and Hygeine

SuburbPrepper wrote:Thanks readymom, I'll look through some of the links. Didn't know the issue had been raised before.

Your welcome. The difficulty in finding them, is that they are scattered under a larger forum topic, rather than all together, as you mentioned. -k

Re: Sanitation and Hygeine

It seems many of the topics above have been discarded. That's too bad. I stumbled across APN in 2011 and was fascinated by the Subjects and responses I found on this site. I read almost all of them and became a serious prepper as a result. I've since tried to find many of those threads - and they a...

Re: Sanitation and Hygeine

This question has been asked in the past (See: Sanitation Forum? http://www.americanpreppersnetwork.net/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=10911 ). Unfortunately, a specific forum for 'Sanitation' has not been formed, so threads are scattered throughout the APN forum. I did a search and found the following th...

Re: Water for showering

I have the solar showers that get used for camping. I think they'll be a good way to heat water for washing dishes, etc., not just for showering. Get black spray paint to spray containers to heat water by the sun. Also get large pump spray bottles (readily available during the summer in the garden ...

We've got a number of threads scattered around on this topic. I'm going to merge them all into one. I'll use your 'Meals in a Jar' as the thread title. -k

Re: Food Organization - tracking

I have small yellow labels that I tape onto EVERY food storage item in our food storage. I was finding that our family was removing food storage cans, boxes, etc to use and I didn't know they were used & gone. Now, they have to remove those labels and put them in a small container in the kitchen....
