I also have a list of last minute things I have to grab. Dog food is #1 on the list. I can't store it in my area since dog food won't hold long and I don't want to invite other critters into my area. If I didn't have time to grab dog food we would have plenty of canned goods to share with them........

Also, as I began to think about this, my thoughts turned to WATER! And shouldn't items be 'pre-positioned' in a missile-ready location, in your home? That's a whole 'nother consideration. WHERE do you put all the things you'd need, if you are already struggling with storage solutions? Minutes count ...

Re Candles: Consider the tall candles that you can find in the dollar store. (They look like 'church' candles). LONG burn time. Not a ton of light. I was really only planning on having to hole up for a few days, but here it states 14-21 days! :eek: I definitely need a plan to combat cabin fever!
