It's not just books. I purchase long term food storage assuming that it will get passed to our kids, like wheat berries and #10 cans that last up to 25 years unopened. -k

Hard. Copy. Books. The old fashioned kind. Don't rely on Kindle books, if power is out. How will you recharge to read them all? Or if an EMP wipes out your kindle? Do you have hard copy books to go to, when the Kindle option is no longer available? I store both. Yard sales are great for finding book...

I got a ton of buckets from "Whataburger" for next to nothing... they were pickle buckets...no matter how long you soak those suckers in bleach they still have a slight pickle smell to them... I do store dog food without any liners in them but any human food goes in Mylar... so far there ...
