Re: Out of date Cheese Whiz

I've purchased the spray can of this stuff for 'just in case I have NOTHING else and crave cheese' days. I figure if you get to that point I'll taste like gold, lol! Hoping that because it's in the can, the shelf life is long. :bored: -k

Alternate Light Source-Inflatable Lamps

Saw this on 'Shark Tank', on tv. It's a bit pricey, but is a brilliant idea (pun intended). Takes up very little space and will give off quite a bit of light.Thought I'd post to give folks another lighting option. -k http://luminaid.com/pages/about http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0774/6811/products...

Re: Forget global warming, get ready for new ice age?

Readymom, Why don't you just get a longer rope so you can stay inside? Or a litter box. We have our Chihuahua trained this way. Saves her from a hungry chickenhawk. Because then I have to put all that gear on to get them untangled, when they get caught around the bushes! We actually have a tether f...

Re: Forget global warming, get ready for new ice age?

All I know is it takes me five minutes to get dressed to take the dogs out to pee. (Poor things are panting with anxiety & pacing, waiting for me) And that's just out the front door to the frozen snow covered front lawn! Tonight, in PA, its currently 3 degrees, with a wind chill of -18. Supposed...

Freeze Drying At Home

This would be my favorite way to store food, if I could do it at home. Re: Bookcase Storage: Turning Old into New

Remember that bookcase that I used to make a rolling storage unit? Well, today, THIS idea came across my Facebook page. It's the same general idea, only for UNDER YOUR BED! Re: My Bug-In Plan for Water in SHTF

I've got quite a bit of information about water collection and rain water over on my Emergency Home Preparation site. If you go over to look at it, as usual, bring discussion back HERE to share with others! Look under the Water Storage Options section. -k
