Re: Older Home Canned Food

If you want to eat the most nutritious food you can (which old canned goods, etc., clearly are not), then you don't eat food that is years past its pull date. If you want to eat the most nutritious food, then your only choice is fresh and organically grown! Every typical diet (even with can goods), ...

Re: Prepping Fatigue?

I think being prepared is alive and well, but the cutesy stuff like the perfect BOB may have taken a few hits! Hallelujah? After ten thousand wannabes write books and articles rehashing the SOS, it gets real old! Swamp

Re: MASSIVE untapped resource(s) here...

It is a good resource, but it can be cumbersome. The ranking system is not without flaws, as it can be toyed with! Nothing sadder than a pack of lab rats needing attention and grant money! Swamp

Re: Country Weapons vs City Weapons

Alright I can see how handguns would be useful weapons in the country and I never said country people don't or shouldn't use them. Out in the country where there aren't that many people you are much less likely to run into a perpetrator so carrying a handgun for self defense might not be necessary ...

Re: Distilled Water Disadvantages

What are the risks of drinking distilled water? The main risks of drinking only distilled water are associated with the lack of dissolved minerals, such as magnesium and calcium. Some of the adverse effects of drinking just distilled or low mineral water include: a flat taste that many people find u...

Re: Country Weapons vs City Weapons

I live in a rural area and my BOL is further out! My primary tool of choice is a 357 revolver. Easier to move with in heavy underbrush. Swamp

Re: Are CB radios still an option?

CB is the only system that has ever "actually" helped me in the read world! Out in the middle of nothing and was heard on a scanner. He called for help and I always wished I could have said thank you. Snake bites have a way of changing your priorities! Swamp

Re: Need advice on storing ammo

Ever wonder what happens to ammo in paper or plastic boxes, if subjected to a flood or home fire? Just like guns, ammo should be stored in a cool, dry, dark, and secure location! You might also consider your liability if kids decide to play with it! I have seen injuries from taking it apart and want...

Re: Six year-old powdered milk!

While there is mountains of anecdotal evidence and a great deal of hype concerning free radicals, there are no clinical studies that proves long term effects. It is further clouded by the legions of health peddlers with something to sell! Google it and notice the almost complete absence of clinical ...

Re: Sanctuary City Success

And yet illegals have a lower crime rate than citizens. I've heard that repeated by liberals so often I am sure it's true. I have heard that too, but how would they know that? Do they actually know how many illegals there are or do they play the numbers to skew the results? Just like Hillar...
