Roll Call:

Postby smm345 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 8:01 pm

I just recently discovered the American Preppers Network, and I am very impressed with the scope and the amount of information that is available here. I'm just curious regarding the extent of LEO membership (Current/Retired - Civilian/Military - Etc). Please feel free to provide the amount of Information that you are comfortable posting:

I work the Federal side of investigations/enforcement, in California. I recently reached retirement eligibility, however, with the economy being what it is, I'll be here for a little longer (we are mandatory at age 57). I started down the Prepping Path a couple of years ago: Learning, Storing, Buying Equipment/Supplies/Alternative forms of Currency, and trying to spread the Word, Etc. Anyway, I can see that this Network will be very helpful.

Stay Safe........

Do ACOs (Animal Control Officers) count? If so, count me in. I'm with the Sheriff's Office in my county, and while we only apprehend the 4-legged animals, we DO have regular contact with the public (both complainants and the animals' owners) and write citations for violations. We ALSO work in a hazardous enough area that we need to wear ballistic vests while on the job!

Of course you count. You represent your County and Serve your Community by enforcing it's laws and ordinances. And subject yourself to many risks every shift. Thanks.

Thanks for counting me in. Yes, we Do represent our county and serve our commununity. In our area, we ALSO end up being extra pairs of eyes for the Border Patrol, as well as for our own LE members. Fortunately, we have a pretty good working relationship with them, and our guys are pretty good about backing us up.
