Ok, I'm gonna stick with the Combine because it'll still be chewing up zombies long after the Apache runs out of ammo, but to catch the ones comming up from behind there's this:

I saw a deuce and a half the other day in a front yard for sale. Man, i have rode on many of those. As long as you stay out of the deep mud, you are good to go. Those things will pull trees up by the roots. You could hit a cow at 45 mph and not even slow down. Zombies would be no problem, just run over them. I would to have one but what would I use it for. They might get 8 miles to the gallon. That sucks.

What would the neighbors think if I drove one of these babies home. There would no limit to what you could pull. You could weld a 1/2 inch steel grid on the bumper and plow through the zombies at 45 mph.

I put a machete on my wishlist in Amazon. My husband thought I was nuts until I told him to go in and read the customer reviews. Every single one of them were rating the quality of the machete in regards to Zombie killing.

I found it to be a moral imperative to add it to the wishlist. Just because.

Whisper, seeing as how you enjoyed that, I'm going to link you to the place where you can get that on a poster, at Schlockmercenary.com:

Tigger, I did a search for "Gerber Machete" and found it at Amazon. After reading some of the reviews I understand why it may be your "last resort" weapon. The blessed thing LOOKS fearsome, but it's only got a quarter tang! The only thing that's keeping the 24" blade from flying wildly out of your grasp and into the guy who's got your back is a lousy 2" of metal held into a plastic grip by a single bolt. (The image shows two bolts; one bolt goes through the tang, the other goes in a slot on the tang and serves to compress the plastic around the tang.)

LMK when they decide to put a full tang on that puppy, and I'll reconsider. Until then, I'd trust my Chicago Cutlery carving knife before I'd trust my life to that thing.

I'm going to update my choice of vehicle, borrowing a link from Tigger, Love the music:

And since I may run out of gas I may need a weapon. Now you'd run out of shells before I run out of....

Heh... Heh... Heh... Zombietools are awesome. I really hope I can afford one or three at some point.
Thanks for linking me to this thread Whisper! I don't think you know what you've done...

Ok, so first off.. I loves me my Sthil, but as soon as it hits bone, it's bouncing back in my face and I don't want to be a zed any time soon.

Though flamethrowers do in fact rock the casbah, and created one of the greatest quotes ever... They are not well suited to zombie hunting. After all, the only thing worse than a zombie, is a zombie on fire.
Image
"The existence of flamethrowers is proof that someone, somewhere, said to himself, 'I want to set those people over there on fire, but I don't feel like walking over there to do it.'"

This'll be my ride:

This'll be my weapon of choice ;) :
Image
Saiga 12 guage shotgun, slug chucker variant.
Or possibly an AR SPR once I build it out...

This is the backup, for now:

Dead on Tools 18" Annihilator

This is the fun one:

Look ma! No Kickback!

But there's only one way to be sure...
