Carolina Readiness Supply in Waynesville, NC is have Customer Appreciation Day this Saturday--Prepper Party! They are having a couple of my favorite You Tube preppers, Engineer775 and Southerprepper1. They were on the TV show about "Doomsday Preppers" or something like that. I attended, loved the mountain house food tasting. Everything tasted great, wont have any more reservations about how the stuff tastes now and what a turnout it was packed when i was there. Anyone that preps in the area if you haven't gone by there you need to, what a great store and great people that run it.

Thanks for the report, jreb. I am sorry I wasn't able to go, but plan on stopping by the store when I drive near there in November. I hope other forum members who were there will give us a report.

My wife and I were there also. I am not much on writing a report, but I will say that it was well worth the drive up there. I stayed all morning and never got bored. We watched a demonstration on making electricity over an open fire, got an up close look at Engineer775's famous truck, sampled several of the Mountain House food selections, and had some really good hot dogs also. I even met someone who lives close to me, so now I have another prepper friend.

Kudos to Carolina Readiness Supply for putting on a great event, and a special thanks to Dave and Scott for the demonstrations on wood gassification and for answering my questions that were totally unrelated to the demonstrations they were doing. Those 2 guys are class acts all the way.

Thanks, Saiga! We really Dave and Scott at the Sensible Preppers Conference in Greenville. I am glad you connected with someone close to you. I hope preppers in the area (and internet customers) give business to Carolina Readiness Supply. I want them to be successful since it is good to have a resource like them in western NC.
