Considering a Prep Run this weekend as I'm a little anxious.

That said, who in their right mind starts a nuke war saying "I'm attacking Guam in mid-August"?

if you're in the part of the country with seasonal preps necessary - like winter heating - good idea to move up your regular ready date .... the fall could be one very interesting time this year .....

I do need more TP. lol

Good on most of the rest. Heating would be a concern, but doable at the survival level.

Being in Southern California, water and the golden horde are my main concerns.

Not canning as much as usual, DIL and grandson here so kind of hard to do.
He is only 2.

My potatoes did nothing, dug one sweet potato vine, nothing! Hubby said he
may have put to much of one kind of fertilizer on that made green tops and
no bottoms.

I have lots of tomatoes but never seen any with so many seeds, made 7 quarts
of spaghetti sauce and just to many seeds, not sure if I will make more. Going
to put up more green tomatoes, only have 5 quarts left. These were not my
usual varieties and ended up with some odd looking giant cucumbers. Green
beans were good.

Didn't get my corn done before DIL came going to see if hubby can get some
still that is good, want to do 5 more dozen.

We have food but would love to add more.

On top of that had an abnormal EKG, had to get a stress test and it came out
ok. Guessing a fall I took couple of months back hurt my shoulder and messed
up some ribs on the left side, has really hampered me working in the garden
and getting up to speed for winter. Not good. I am going to pain management
for osteo arthritis and degenerative disk disease and they are a farce, so gues
I have to learn to live with it. Meds are killing my stomach.

Yep. Same here.
Water rotation planned now that I've been putting off.....100g at about 7 months old. All my WaterBricks are going on 1 yr....

Bye-bye Sunday. Not much more to do considering we're in the "Glow-Zone" on the closest coast here. :D

Not much more to do considering I'm not to worried about it. Nothing you can do but watch anyways if already prepped....

Interesting times though. It's about damn time someone rattled that little piss-ants saber. :tank:

It's a lot of work but Im glad they made it. Let us know when DS gets out of SK and is back in the US.

I was considering a meat run to Yoder's in Shipshe. I really liked their grass fed beef.

Yes. Plus I read the 4th turning. Which has a compelling argument for a collapse around 2020-2025. I also found a website http://www.deagel.com that was interesting. Of course I am still trying to see if it's legitimate but supports the generational thought. I noticed the 5 countries that started the bank in 2016. China Russia India South Africa and Brazil all seemed to fair well during this time. Anyway. Would like someone smarter than me to comment.

This is definitely something that bears watching and we are stepping up readiness. I just topped off all the gas tanks and cans. We are also taking inventory of things and are heading to Costco this weekend.

I am decent on some things and need work on quite a few others. One week wouldnt remedy it however. All I can do is sit back and watch and if something seems imminent then Ill have to do my best to stock up on a few other things. What worries me most is that my Daughter and SIL are in northern Japan in the military (they are both serving) Other than the troops in SK they are probably the closest to NK. I do hope that if NK does attempt anything that Trump knocks the snot out of the brat in charge over there.

Yep, water rotation, may up inventory, and a check of buckets-o-food, beans.

Had not gone the iodine/ nuc route. With San Onofre closed, I thought it low probability.

Just talked to son, said he is very very busy, of course, no details.

His dad said be careful, he showed us the face masks he has, his dad said that doesn't help for
radiation, he said that's what this bag full of pills is for. I'm trying to be very positive, he just
does not worry. I guess he would not be there if he did. But I'm sure they are prepared as
they can be.

DIL said South Korea has all kinds of underground shelters plus the subways too. I'm sure they
can shelter a lot of people.

N Korea is playing such a dangerous game will end up in nuclear war and there may not be any
returning from that.

I did a couple of online orders this past week and stocked up on some stuff locally today......batteries, canned meats, tinfoil (yes, really), some sale items, salt, pepper, candy, and a few other things. It seems like every August there is something that makes me feel the need to stock up. Last year it was the election....this year is the little fat man.... Hopefully next year things will be "normal"??? I dunno, maybe it's just b/c I tend to slack off during the summer months. But yeah, feeling that need to get it together before something happens.

This weekend I have some spare time so I think I will be organizing some things and taking a serious inventory.
