I have never played Fallout... But I play H1Z1 and Rust from time to time..
Also looking forward to Tom Clancy's The Division.. We may not have a super virus that sweeps through, but the aftermath seems to be relevant to what most prep for.. With a lot more random killing of course.
There's Half-Life and Exile. There were a bunch of dystopian games in development that seem to be dead, like Huxley. I've played Half-Life, but not Exile. I don't know The Last of Us or Fallout. Good topic! Now I have new time wasters.
If you haven't played the Fallout games you're missing out but if you do decide to get into them, I will tell you right now, they will take over your life. The Fallout games are very addicting and it also makes you want to have high capacity magazines, particularly when using the assault rifle and the chinese assault rifle.
Even better than Fallout (to me at least) is some D20 modern. Of course it isn't a video game. If you are unfamiliar it is a table top game much like the ol Dungeons and Dragons with a modern realistic spin on it (if you choose). Unfortunately it is not a game you can play solo. Hell it isn't entertaining till you get about 4 people involved. Great thing about it. No electricity needed.
I have ran into a few that felt that way but were able to get into D20 modern. With a good game leader you don't have to have a good imagination, just do what you would do. I only give myself friday nights to have my own fun. I don't choose a bar or go to a movie, nope, I choose to roll a 20 sided dice all night lol.
Seriously out of date here! The only video game I ever played was pong and not much of that. Much happier in the woods or at least outside! Swamp
People rarely notice what it right in front of their eyes. The Da Vinci Code
That's commendable Swamp, guess it's the nature of the beast... I grew up in a video game era, still play em... But have always had a good balance. Now that I'm in more of a "country" atmosphere, I don't play much at all.
lol....thanks for the link. going to give it a shot. Have not heard of this one.... Looks a little glitchy but here's a hilarious couple of guys playing it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RucQZWsUNKI#t=718.8734877
Much better gameplay will be Fallout....both look great for survival but I have experience with Fallout...much more through I think for exploring and with post-apocalyptic civilizations you can visit and barter with...mission aspect is really fulfilling.....agree with others here on Fallout...Gathering, crafting, barter, and the combat module keeps you coming back and picks up the pace if you want.....Once you start, good luck stopping...lol....don't say you weren't warned.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrX-QT19Ro0

This is an interesting thread.
It seems 7 Days To Die plays on a PC. That is good because I am never going to buy a dedicated gaming computer. Anyone know a good prepper game that plays on a Android?
