It's not technically New England, and it's not even done yet. But it could be a great resource when it's finished.

Schoharie Co-op Cannery is a new community endeavor in upstate New York, 40 miles west of Albany, which will serve large-scale local commercial fruit and vegetable farmers, as well as small-scale home gardeners. This effort supports area sustainable agriculture and helps ensure the future of small, family farms.

Plastic Pails Threaded Screw on Cover
http://www.yankeecontainers.com/Plastic ... eaded.html

All colors except black are made with FDA approved food grade resin, making them safe for many applications involving food or drink.

These pails have threaded bodies and covers which allow the cover to screw on the way one might screw a cap on a jar. Locking teeth prevent the cover from backing off the pail in transit.

The screw on feature is most appreciated in applications which require frequent opening and closing or where maintaining the original performance and security of the pail is an important or desirable attribute.

Have you or are you considering buying from Yankee Containers Bruce? If so I thought we might order together. Did you ever get up to the Worcester LDS Facility? I am thinking about going again.
Where will you turn to for help when the Red Cross, Salvation Army and your Insurance is worn out? A.N.T.S.

No I never went.. Let me know when I will scrape together some money and join you. We are living pretty tight right now, paying off debt. Not that we have a Lot of it, just that with my disability and one income it can be tight.
I have not been to Yankee containers. It is right down the road from me or K&H containers as that one was called. I have spoken to them and they do sell to the public. If I go with to the LDS center I will buy milk power and seal it in vacuum 1/2 gallon jars. That way I can just go and not use the canner..That was what tripped me up last time. I would love to just go and see what they have too..So if I can't scrape some $$ together I could just go to keep you company (c:

Every year at this time I keep reminding myself to hold some funds back 'cause January is coming!!!

January is the annual Shop-Rite CAN CAN Sale!!!!!!! That is when we stock up and if there is a really good price on an item, we will buy two or three cases to last the year. Well worth a road trip if you don't have a Shop Rite in your immediate area.
I don't have hobbies.........I'm developing post apocolyptic skill sets
