well go figure. Down south we've got a nice breeze and it's just mid 70s and sunny. Had rain all weekend, no new sprouts in the garden yet but the sunchoke is going nuts ;) I put some sweet pepper plants out, might put some rutger tomatoes out in a day or 2.

Yes, real nice out finally, but dry as I've ever seen it for this time of year. Any rain down there Lynda. I've been watering the trees for 3-5 hours a day this week....uugh! :'(

It has not gotten above 34 degrees here this week and it has snowed every morning. :( Which is crazy, because we are now getting 19 hours and 45 minutes of daylight.

A light drizzle and 70 degrees. I have squash, tomato, sweet pepper, and cucumber blossoms this morning. Did I mention needing to tie up some of the Blueberry branches? I do miss the cold and snow - send a picture sometime. Swamp

It's 87, hot and dry today in so cal. Corn is about 2' tall, pole beans about 1', and we do have some green tomatoes. Cauliflower and broccoli was pulled out months ago - too warm for them here. We only had about 5 inches of rain this year, and won't get any more until fall.

Much more warm than usual and I second the dry...very dry. I'm thinking about watering to get my seeds to germinate...a week after I put 'em in!

ROFL, Fenix....LOVE the cat picture! That is one PO'd-looking feline!

Our weather here has mostly been hot (it was cooler today, due to wind and cloud cover) but BONE DRY! I'm having to water the corn/bean/pumpkin patch daily! Several of the other areas need watering more than the 3 times a week the automatic system is running.

What a Sunday! Most of the state of Illinois is under a tornado watch. We've had tornadoes north west of me and now one is south east. I wonder if folks do what we do?

Move important stuff into the basement, like wallets, purses, laptops.... Make sure everyone has their shoes on, get out the rain coats, turn off large appliances like the A/C, heaters, shut down computers.... stuff like that. I have a window cracked open to make sure I can hear the sirens but I do have a dog that howls when the sirens go off so he's my backup.

We've always done this. When we used to live in Texas with no basements my kids would start dragging their pillows into a bathroom when mom and dad started worrying about the weather.

Paranoid? Maybe Prepared? Hopefully.
Without good sanitation you won't be around long enough to use your preps.
