I don't think the govt. will allow a collapse until they get the American gun owner cornered. That's why they are pushing so hard right now for regulation and registration of firearms and magazines under the guise of public safety.
They know they can't control an armed populace, they need to disarm us first, them subjugate us afterward. ( Just like Hitler and Stalin did in the last century)

Did anyone see today that Warren Buffet confirmed his belief that we are heading for a major financial meltdown? Also, Germany announced today that they are withdrawing all their gold from the NY Federal Reserve and taking it home.

Ima hafta go break into the whiskey early this evening if you keep talking like that!

I've come to the point where I've done pretty much everything I can do... got out of town, made some purchases, learned a bunch of stuff, and done a lot of thinking. Now I'm sitting and watching and maintaining what I've got, adding a little more to as I can.

I stick my head in the sand for a while so I don't have a heart attack, then I pull it out again and sniff the wind. "Foop!" Back in the hole. Somebody poke a straw in the sand and uncork that fine Irish, will ya?

Let's say five third world countries owe us money in the form of a trade deficit. We owe China and we pass the third world debt to China in exchange for our debt. ...This idea will never see the light of day in DC, but it would work.

It would work, but will never be implemented When someone like Obama is in charge. TO him, the US is the problem, and has to be crushed fro the rest of the world to have their good times.
We need a leader, and all we have is an HNIC.

It will happen, someday, when it's too late.
And then someone will figure out a new way to get us into even more debt. It's like a clinic being run by Junkies, expect nothing but worse things to come.

My fear is that Obama wants a financial melt down. It will throw the country into chaos, allow him to bring in his UN buddies to "pacify" the country and use the collapse as an excuse to initiate a country wide police state that after the dust settled would morph into his dream socialist republic. It would also allow him to sue for international loan forgivness of US debts in exchange for more policy control given to foreign investors. Just my opinion...

I have to echo the opinion of Kingtriton. Our president has (with help from Moonbats like Princess Nancy & Harry Reid) done everything he can to diminish this country & weaken it. I find it hard to believe that he is not doing this with purpose. As an example, the incidence of gun violence has dropped dramatically in the last ten years. I's over forty percent lower!!! Mr. Obama has access to the same information from the FBI that we do and has a staff of fairly smart folks to check it for him and advise him. Yet he keeps talking like we are inundated by a rising tide of gun violence that threatens our safety. He and his VP Joe the idiot have proposed a list of things to control gun violence no of which address the real issues, only further restricting legitimate gun owners. Things like the Keystone pipeline & hydro-fracking promise to solve a huge chunk of our economic problems yet he opposes both. He's not a stupid man.(I find it too difficult to believe that he is that stupid or he would not be able to feed himself) I have to conclude that he is taking advantage of these things to weaken us and create chaos for some reason. An economic collapse preceded by disarming the American People would be a very good way to accomplish a coup of historic and unbelievable proportions. When he was first elected the announcement from his office that he was "ready to rule" was quite telling (anyone remember that one?).
Presidents do not rule.......they serve. As Washington and the others in the tradition of Cincinna0tus in ancient Rome presidents serve this country and then step aside as provided by law and custom. This president rules, or thinks he does in any case. I believe that he intends to continue to rule.
It becomes increasingly obvious that a collapse is his key weapon to insure his Imperial Ambitions.
That Tree of Liberty might just need watering and soon
