Prepper Expo coming to Appleton this October

Postby JimPI » Thu May 15, 2014 1:25 pm

There is a prepper expo coming to Appleton this October. Here's a link to the info available at this time.

I know nothing other than what you'll find on that page. I've been tapped to lead a couple of workshops. They are still working on lining up speakers as well as vendors. If you have any specific speakers you'd love to see in mind, let me know and I can pass it along.

This is shaping up to be a pretty decent event. Here's the link to the current list of workshops that will be happening at the expo. The organizers are still lining up a ton more.

Check out Southernprepper1 on youtube. He has been to quite a few expos and does some great presentations. Might be worth seeing if he can make it.

We're only a couple of weeks away from the Wisconsin Prepper Expo. Things seem to be shaping up nicely, from what I'm hearing. I'm told there will be over 100 vendors and, I think, 8 or 9 speakers throughout the day. There will be space set aside for Meetup groups, too.

I'll be leading two workshops. The first is on realistic bug out planning (11am) and the second is on post-collapse barter and trade (1pm). Other sessions scheduled with other speakers include:

First aid with essential oils
Foraging wild edibles in Wisconsin
Canning
Aquaponics
Flint knapping
Retreat security and defense
And a bunch more!

Anyone here plan on attending?

We're just a little over a week away from the Wisconsin Prepper Expo. Next Saturday, preppers from across the state and even from around the country are going to converge in Appleton. You gonna be there?

http://www.wisconsinprepperexpo.com/

For those who choose to stop in for my workshops, I ALWAYS bring cool door prizes for the lucky few who will win. This time around, I have nice, thick knit caps courtesy of my friends at Echo-Sigma (http://www.echo-sigma.com/), free copies of my latest books (Urban Emergency Survival Plan and Countdown to Preparedness), and a couple of nice hand tools from my
buddies over at Pro Tool Industries (http://www.protoolindustries.net/).

Be sure to stop and say hi while you're there!

Jim

Are there any other Prepper Expos or shows in Wisconsin other than the one in Appleton in October? I'd like to go and set up a table, but it's the same date as a gunshow in Janesville where I already have tables. I bought a lot of new oxygen resuscitators at an gov't auction and I think that they'd sell good at the expo.

Ya, I was that one on their web page. I don't want to venture that far out of the state. Thanks for the post though.

Hey Jeff, sorry, just saw this now.

I'll be honest with you, I'd not bother with the Appleton expo in October. I'm assuming the person running it is the same who ran the one last year that I posted about earlier in this thread. If that's the case, I'd run, not walk, away.

@Jim,

If you wouldn't mind, and without being overly-specific (don't want anyone getting into trouble, heaven forbid someone's feelings be bruised), could you give a review of the 2014 WI expo, please? I see you were initially very supportive of it and of folks going, then your last post about it suggests you had a poor experience.

Thanks,
Wanna
