Looking for barrels with screw top/sealable lid

Postby ReisingPeaks » Sun Mar 17, 2013 4:06 pm

Hi- Excited to find this site. I am in Central VA and looking for some barrels that I can put a cache of supplies in and bury in the ground. Want something smaller than a 55gallon barrel and want something with a screw-top lid or sealable lid. Looking for this, but don't want to buy on the internet and have shipped. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/m ... x?a=800840

Thanks for any info.

I've got food grade 62 gal barrels with 20 inch screw on lids with o rings. About 42" high and 22" in diameter. I know this is larger than you want, but the price is right. $15 to $20 each or 2 for $25 to $35. This is what most preppers use for storage.
I also have a limited number of 19 gal. barrels with handles, food grade. They have a 2 and half in. bung and 3/4" bung. $13 each or 2/$25. I am in Gloucester county, VA. a few miles south of Saluda. PM me if you need details.

check around for olive or pickle barrels .... they are a "bulged" out version of your burial tube ..... I see they for sale on CraigsList along with the regular poly/steel drums ....
