Howdy! CopperTop checking in from Sweetwater, TX! I've been prepping for nearly a year now, and it seems there aren't many preparedness-minded individuals in the Abilene/Sweetwater/Snyder area, at least not on any forum/internet-based prepping groups I've come across..... I have roots in the Lubbock area and there seems to be a little more prepping action there. I am looking for people in my current immediate area to network with! Any Abilene/Sweetwater-area preppers out there?

Welcome from southern Arizona, CopperTop! I used to live in West Texas. There are actually quite a few in that area who "prep", they just don't consider it to be prepping. To them, it's just part of everyday living, and nothing out of the ordinary, so nothing to talk about. It DOES make it harder to network, though. Of course, I was in a more rural area, not in the city, so that could also make a difference.

Hello from Lubbock area! I am very interested in learning and feel like some of the others that posted from the past---"feel like the Lone Ranger." If you have any suggestions for learning the basics, Send them on!

NE Texas Mineola area has a good Colony. Never thought of it as a colony of ants but kinda cool.
I am a new member but I posted a few things. Check them out and let me know what you think and if you are in my area and want to do some networking.
