Cheaper Than Dirt

Postby WestPrep » Tue Dec 18, 2012 1:12 pm

From what I am hearing "Cheaper Than Dirt" has just ceased selling firearms in a knee jerk reaction from the actions of the last couple of weeks. Please keep this in mind when you are shopping.

I don't understand - knee jerk reaction to what exactly? - are they crossing over to flower sales or are they just out of stock of everything?

They have permanently suspended all of their firearms sales and are price gouging items like magazines.

Good point prepperman. I may have jumped to conclusions too fast.

Did they supply the shooter's mom with Guns/Ammo/Gear? Maybe this is a preemptive move before it becomes public? Otherwise this makes little sense and I'll never shop there again.

Buds gunshop is cheaper anyway.

Academy Sports is also typically cheaper, and you can just go to a brick and mortar store to pick up your items.

Companies that price gouge or screw their customers will NOT get any of my money. It's sad to see companies doing this to law abiding citizens when most of us have never broken any firearm laws.

Playing devil's advocate, but there's no such thing as price gouging. It's simply supply and demand. If you can still find AR mags for $20 in stock you're more than welcome to purchase from those places. If you can't get them anywhere else and CTD has them for $60 then you just have to decide if you want to do that transaction or not. No one is forcing you to purchase them.

Screwing the customer is a separate issue and the market also deals with this in the form of a lack of sales from people who refuse to give them money.
