Need essential oils revommendations

Postby woodchipper518 » Thu Jan 11, 2018 11:06 pm

Need to add more essential oils to my preps. I have lemongrass chamomile peppermint, citrus, eucalyptus and tea tree

Besides buying more of these what are other ones to buy. I'll do the research and make my buying decisions over the next week and subsequent months.

Thanks.

None of those here, just bacon grease and beer.

I've also got Lavender. Spray it on my pillows & bed covers every night to help me settle down to sleep. Kids got me a diffuser, for Christmas, but I also have a fan running AND the ceiling fan on (YES ... I'm over 50  ). The fans are too much for the diffuser, so I need to figure out how I can use BOTH, lol!

I use lavendar and cedarwood to sleep. Vetiver as well, you can put on the bottoms of your feet.

Frankincense is all-around good to have, but quite expensive. Very healing.

Lemon is good to remove the sticky stuff from a price sticker.

I'll have to go back and look at my notes. I haven't been using as much since everything is still packed away while my house is renovated.

Look into Thieves oil. It's touted to be much like tea tree as an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal. It's history is fascinating. I just got this before Christmas along with clove oil and cinnamon bark oil so not enough time to test it out.

I get my eucalyptus oil from Arbor Oil. Highly recommend. I spray the bed pillows at night to relieve sinus issues.

Good oils are pricey so do your research. I'm looking for a good manual on them.

Frankincense for sure. Peppermint would be another one.
I get many of mine from Ananda and they have tons of useful on their web site.
I would make a list of what things you think you would use the oils for the most, and gather ones for those purposes. I have several specific to skin issues because I have a family member who needs that.
Don't forget to research your carrier oils as well. They have different properties if you plan on using the EOs topically.

As far as reference resources, are you interested in simply recipes or the science behind it?

Lavender is one to add to your list for sure. It is great for burns.
Thieves works for a lot of stuff.
Your list is a good one to start with.
