Elk and bear hunting

I am taking my father on a backpacking hunt in Idaho. I was wondering What Sections of gov land would be good. I would like a black bear more than an elk. I have hunted on section 39 before and had a good time. Or any other public lands that would be good.

I have done it before but didnt see any wolves just a mountain lion. I thought you might want to see the pack animals.

May want to look at unit 43 for spring bear hunt, baiting is legal make sure you read the regs before you go hunting, its a good area..........
