I also think the caliber debate is silly. I have .22, ,380, .38, 9mm, .40, and .45, as well as several rifle and shotgun calibers/gauges. (oh, and .45LC, as well.) What I carry is usually determined by what I'm doing and what I'm wearing. It's not so much about caliber, as it is SHOT PLACEMENT (unless you're out hunting, then tailor the caliber to the size game.)

With modern ammo it doesn't really matter anyway. It's when ball is used that bigger and slower does the most damage...
