Dead zone in Gulf of Mexico

Meat industry runoff has created a massive dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico

[snip]

Over 8,000 square miles of the Gulf of Mexico has been turned into a dead zone, thanks to manure and chemical runoff from massive meat processing factories spilling into the Mississippi River delta.

The report by nonprofit Mighty Earth links the record-breaking dead zone to clearance of prairie grassland to make room for factory farms. Once they overlaid locations of processing facilities on maps of grassland losses, they pinpointed the key culprit:

Does anyone know how to mass produce Lone Star Ticks?

That just makes another argument for the benefits of small-scale agriculture...people raising their own food, rather than relying on "factory farms" and grocery stores.

A little off topic . It is not just there Swamp , look up Genx being dumped into our river .
It seems that in there point of view , a little chemical in your drinking water is ok but they drink bottle water so no big deal , it has been found in fish people eat .
This equals to a little poop is ok to eat if there is only just a little bit in it .
To see things as they are not as they want you to see them .. With the stroke of a pen all you rights and freedom can end ...

The world would be in better shape if we weren't dumping GenX in but instead if we focused on the Millennials....   Sorry/notsorry...had to.
