TX - Denton County CERT - Monthly Meetings

Postby woodchipper518 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 11:23 am

Denton County, TX has monthly meetings at the Emergency Operations Center on Teasley drive. It's hard to miss as there is a 150ft tower next to it. They also have a monthly meeting in Little Elm typically at the Administrative buildings on El Dorado.

They hold CERT trainings twice a year. It is a multi-day training program typically over Fri-Sun for two weeks. If interested check the schedule.

These folks are well led and active in the community supporting preparedness fairs, training, etc. They coordinate with the other major DFW counties: Dallas, Collin and Tarrant....on actual and training deployments. There a lots of HAM folks involved and they have a monthly muster to keep everyone connected and familiar with their handheld operations.
Is today really SHTF day? Good thing I quit drinking and smoking yesterday. Keep Calm and Reload.
