Vick's Vapor Rub

Postby rickdun » Sat Dec 02, 2017 6:42 pm

My daughter is in the health care field and is a health nut, been that way since she was a kid. A couple of years ago, she gave me a list of what you can use vick's vapor rub for, so here's the list:

1. Heals stretch marks
2. Heals foot fungus
3. Keeps cats away from scratching furniture
4. Softens callouses
5. Keeps bugs away
6. Put on a tick, they'll release themselves
7. Eases ear aches, put some on a cotton ball and put in ear
8. Helps heal bruises
9. Use as an antiseptic
10. Heals tennis elbow
11. Soothes aching muscles
12. Dries up acne
13. Treats eczema
14. Clears up sinus headaches, rub on forehead
15. Clears up fingernail/toenail fungus
16. Eases migraines, rub on temples

I have used the one for ticks and on cuts, worked for me. My daughter has used some of them, but uses regularly the one for migraines and she swears by it.

All I can say is try it, see if it works for you. ;)

Works on toenail fungus and athlete's foot.
Relieves congestion at night when slathered on your chest AND feet, wear warm socks. Fumes you clear.
We used to smear some up the race horses nostrils to help their wind (and to keep studs from smelling fillies).
Soothes Chapped nose and snot ditch (can't remember proper name)

If you need a cow to take a strange calf, smear a little on the cows nose and she wont know that it is not her calf.

Just raced out the door, and smeared a bunch of Vicks, on the door frame. My cats made a mess of the wood.

Thank you my friend.

It is good to have - if you are dealing with vomit, gangrene, decaying bodies, or other odors that makes you want to vomit. I have a jar in every emergency kit and bag. Put a little on some cotton and you have an excellent fire starter. Swamp

Driven, are you sure you are from Kalifornia? You make a lot of sense.

Driven, I just looked at an old jar of store brand that expired in 2012. It was produced 09. Seems fine to me. If compared to a brand new jar, perhaps it might smell milder, but I can't tell. It's still well scented and looks fine.
