1). Multi-Pump .177 or 22 cal airgun 5 pumps 400fps to 8 pumps 755 fps max, small to medium game.

2). Take down Recurve 40lbs max for large game out to 40yd .

3). 50cal. Sam Yang airgun. just in case I hurt my hand or arm etc, and I could not pull back my bow. I only would need for my 100yd shot.

1. A 12 gauge

2. A .375 H&H rifle

3. A .44 Magnum, probably a Ruger Redhawk.

12 gauge
Crossbow
.22LR

I'm not in terrain where a larger caliber rifle would be needed.

A silenced shorty AR15 with a Ciener .22lr conversion unit, a pocket 9mm and a silenced M21 Beretta pocket .22lr autopistol. The rifle if it's serious shtf foraging, the pistols for fun-hunting. Use a tree stand and bowhunting tactics and yes, you can take deer with a pocket 9mm. It's just a question of getting within 10 yds and hitting liver, heart, spleen or both lungs. You'll be able to watch him fall, if you're 20 ft up and the area is not super-thick bruch.

anthing short of elephant can be dropped with a brain hit from a 223 softpoint. Elephants can't run as fast as men. Get within 50 ft, put 3-4 really fast shots into that 2 ft square lung, run like hell. Next day, look for circling buzzards. He'll cough up blood from the ruined lung, aspirate it into his other lung and drown in his own blood.

The noted outdoor author, Jack Conner (wrote for Outdoor Life and Peterson's Hunting), after a lifetime of hunting wrote that the American sportsman as well served with only three firearms the .30-06, the 12 gauge, and the .22 long rifle.
Fortunately for him, he did not observe the nation we have become.

A brilliant observation.
Beware of the guy with only one Cast Iron pan . . . he likely knows how to use it.

I'm assuming you're referring to him needing an assault rifle - he might have agreed with you to a certain point - going autoload vs a bolt action on that 30-06 .... guy like him would be the worse kind of threat - long distance sniper type - give those spray & go thugs an absolute fit ....

Trump & Company just sold some gear to the Ukraines for their fight with the Ruskies ... they are getting portable anti-tank weapons for sniping tanks ... but I bet the US gets more Putin complaints from the .50cal sniper rifles that are going into play .....
