We’re Back!

There is still a bit to do, such as importing all the old images, which I am not 100% which way to do it just it, but all users are back, and matching their posts (which was a worry). So that’s good!

You shouldn’t need to reset your password, but in case you do, you can do so by going >>>>here<<<<.

I logged in just fine under my old username and password.

Thanks for all the hard work, Wolfe.

what am I looking at? its all weird. all white background. Seeing apparent topics with no post for over a year. had to click on the “activity” at the top of the page to even get to this to post. refused my email ( which I’ve used since I joined). This looks nothing like a forum or even a message board

  4. Genevieve says:

why do we have to go to WordPress to log in? thats just odd lol

Yea, need to wear sunglasses in this white room. Where did the PM’s go too?

It is going to take some time to rebuild.
Hope everyone can have patience with the builders.

OK, it has been about a month with little to no news. The forum, as it stands, is usable by some of old hands, but I suspect that without some “navigation aids” it won’t be attractive to new users, and to those old users who could navigate the old site but aren’t really “into” computers.

I have mentioned once, that changing the color scheme on the “sticky” threads would help many people navigate, and want to add that we need something to flag those topics that have been recently (maybe a month?) been updated.

It would be grand if there were some way for people to easily bookmark or subscribe to topics or threads, but I don’t think WordPress supports that.

One thing that would be indispensable, though, is some method of highlighting direct (or private) messages, and the path to them. I had one that I didn’t find for a couple weeks, and I left one for another user that I don’t think they will find, ever.

Still, I will keep leaving a few posts a week, in hopes that people will find this forum of value.
