I have almost converted to 100% led flashlights. The price has really come down in the last few years. I have dozens of them. They are rated by how many led bulbs they have.
I have flashlights that go from one led up to 16 led. L.E.D.= light emitting diode. The more leds you have the brighter the light. Leds don’t use much energy from the battery.
I can put new batteries in one and turn it on. i can come back 24 hours later and it is still on. You will never get that kind of results with an incandescent bulb. Incandescent bulbs use a filament that heats up to make the light. That heat takes a lot of energy. Most common flashlights won’t shine for more than 3-4 hours. Then they are dead. L.E.D. lights are dim compared to the regular incandescent lights. They are a whole lot better than being in the dark.
I bought some 3 led flashlights at the Dollar Tree store for a buck a piece. They are pretty good. You can’t beat that for a dollar.
