preparedness in the Netherlands

    I bluntly started this new topic because I am very interested in the difference in perspectives between our countries.
    What I am really perplexed about is that I found so many American ppl active in preperedness and so little in the Netherlands. One big difference is the way our governments are acting. This is all the information we get from our government:

    It is in Dutch, but you can understand how little and lacking the information is!
    Ok we don’t have to deal with extreme winters, heats, vulcano erruptions or other disasters. But I do think we should be prepared!
    I think our difference come from political, cultural and geographical differences.
    But I surely hate the lack of information on the part of the government. I also don’t like not being able to find all kind of imo necessairy supplies for self sufficient life. I mostly have to import things from the US! Oh and ofcourse pay LOTS of taxes….

    those are the first things I wanted to throw into the discussion.
